Note 1: Rebate % in HK$ terms is less than stated % because banks use RMB for calculating points earned but coupons are HK$. For instance, at HK$1.23/RMB, HSBC 6X is 1.95% not 2.4%. CCB CUP is an exception because it offers RMB cash rebate

To Percysmith:

For Dining (item IV), I believe the best offer should be Dah Sing Bank's Doraemon / Dr Slump Credit Card (they are offering a regular ~1% Rebate). With the prevailing Dining Lucky Draw (http://www.dahsing.com/tc/html/credit_card/daily/dining.html) which offers at least 5X multiplier, the effective cash rebate rate could be as high as 5% (let’s forget the 10x & 30x multiplier…..)

jasonchan "the effective cash rebate rate could be as high as 5%"

How? Basic earn rate for Dah SIng points-earning cards (Doraemon, Dr. Slump) are $100 supermarket coupons for 25,000 pts i.e. 0.4%. Even if 5X is applied i.e. $1=5pts (I checked, it's not 6pts), the rebate rate is still 2%...?

Doraemon & Dr. Slump Platinum Card (sorry - I've missed to mention plat card before) are offering cash rebate -> $2 rebate for every $200 spending (remarks: no rebate for spending under $200, still $2 rebate for a spending of $399). For simplicity, I'll say it is offering a "~1% rebate".

http://www.dahsing.com/tc/html/credit_card/cardinfo/program/doraemon_card.html

The maximum effective cash rebate rate is thus claimed to be ~1% x 5 = ~5%

1. 不知
 - VI. Bill payments 方面
SCB Executive Platinum 是不是也有 1% cash rebate?
官網說 SCB
Executive Platinum 繳費無積分,但其實可能意思是只有現金回贈.... (not sure...)
http://www.standardchartered.com.hk/wap/personal-banking/online-banking/zh/index.html

2. 特別一提中電
https://www.clponline.com.hk/myBusiness/CustomerService/PaymentOptions/CreditCardAutopay/Pages/Default.aspx
原來現在只有三張卡可自動轉賬兼有積分了: 中銀 / Citibank / 大新.... (AE無積分)

1. I called two CS, four months apart. Both said SCB Executive Platinum does not earn cash rebate on bill payment, even though it does on autopay and AAVS.

2. We've noticed http://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/forum_show.php?id=4905. I think the best strategy now is to suspend autopay, go back to bill payment and pay with Dah Sing Goodies Reward 1% (or Fubon Plat if miles are wanted instead).

"Recurrent, registered local merchants" was my attempt to describe Dah Sing Most Favourite Merchants without using the name

"Prime Credit Visa (also from SC)"  should note promotion ends 31 July 2011 and extension is not automatic http://www.primecredit.com/chi/card_new03_tnc.php

Dah Sing Daily Goodies on AAVS - valid, but I rather use my $10,000/month Goodies Reward quota on bill payment.

Shacom TVB Titanium Master: valid but the promotion is only valid on first $1,000 spending per month (10,000 points) isn't it http://www.shacombank.com.hk/bankscb/pdf/tvb_extra_tc.pdf? You can't even get a single $100 coupon per month.

Yes, u r rite! (btw, it's a pity that there is no way to get

Agree, Choosing the card in this category depends on whether you will spend >$1,000 in supermarket every month or not......
(For me, I won't spend >$1,000 in supermarket, so I prefer ShaCom)
